What are the benefits of using Pine?
Pine is a sustainable, renewable resource with a natural look perfect for outdoor decking. When pressure-treated, it resists rot and decay, offering durability and versatility. Its lightweight nature makes installation easier, while it can be stained or treated to match any style.
How much does Pine decking cost?
Our Pine decking starts from $375* (including gst) per sqm – supply and install, however the price is dependent on various factors, including the size, labour required, and installation complexity.
*40 SQM total deck size, on nurajack system with timber framing sitting on existing concrete pad, traditional finish, below 250mm finished height, no steps, 1 single baseboard.
How do I maintain Pine to ensure it lasts longer?
To extend the life of pine, regular maintenance is key. This includes cleaning the wood periodically, applying a weather-resistant finish or sealer, and reapplying protective coatings every couple of years, especially if the pine is used outdoors.
Is Pine a durable hardwood?
Pine is a softwood and can be less durable than hardwoods, but pressure treatment can enhance its resistance to rot and decay. With proper maintenance, such as staining or sealing, pine can be a long-lasting choice for outdoor decking.
